Wales Energy Crops

The Wales Energy Crops Centre is “a one stop shop” supporting and promoting the energy crops industry in Wales. As a central portal, the website gives you a single point of access to a wide resource of high quality information that is available online. It connects you to other key websites, so that you can access as wide a source of information as you require.

Biomass has the potential to be a key renewable energy in Wales, a combination of forestry and energy grass crops have the potential to provide a vital component of the overall energy strategy for Wales. The aim of the National Assembly for Wales is to make Wales a “global renewable showcase for clean energy production”.

The website is specific to the energy crops grown for biomass production, though it also provides links to forestry websites so that information on wood fuel can also be accessed. The links on the left of the page will provide access to the wealth of information that is currently available for the developing energy crops industry in Wales.
